Tangy Chocolate Frozen Yogurt

A tangy chocolate frozen yogurt made with coconut milk and nonfat Greek yogurt. It's tart with a chocolate twist. Mix in your favorite gluten free candy for a real treat.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups plain Greek frozen yogurt
  • 1 can full fat coconut milk (13 oz.)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ⅔ cup Hershey's chocolate syrup
  • 2 tablespoons to a ¼ cup sugar (depending on preference)*
  • 1 cup chopped candy of your choice
Directions
  1. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except for chopped candy. Mix thoroughly with a whisk.
  2. Pour mixture into ice cream maker. Churn according to ice cream maker directions, adding chopped candy the last five minutes of churning. It took my ice cream maker 25 minutes total.
  3. Serve immediately and store remaining frozen yogurt in freezer in an airtight plastic container.**
Notes
*Start with 2 tablespoons and taste mixture before putting into ice cream maker. If you prefer sweeter, add 2 more tablespoons. I went the full ¼ cup of sugar!
**Ice cream will be hard once stored in the freezer. It is best served fresh. If eating leftovers, defrost in microwave 15-20 seconds at a time until able to be scooped.
